The love of photography is the starting point for shooting that inspires me. And when the desire comes to shoot something unconditionally interesting for me, I do it regardless of the possibility of a commercial component. At the time of shooting, I get great pleasure from the work, and that's enough.
At the same time, I am very happy when people come to me with their ideas or try to get involved in one of my projects as models or for creative collaboration. If you want to order photography in such a «free key» - I'm always ready to do something for you or with you!
In 2019 I got an adea to work with people of creative professions. I left them to visually illustrate their understanding of creativity. This is how the project «Artist as an Art Object» appeared. In my studio, we built everything that was necessary to realize the ideas of the participants in this series of photographs.
For one creativity was identified with a holiday, for another - with a game, someone associated it with simplicity, and so on. Now I think that the project could be continued with representatives of other professions who are no less creative about their work and life.
I am currently working on a series of group portraits which I call “Surtraits”. The essence of these strange, not entirely realistic photographs is an attempt to stop not a moment, but the passage of time. Pictures are taken in real spaces for several hours. In this case, as a rule, each participant in the composition is filmed separately and also illuminated separately. Sometimes moments are deliberately included in the frame, emphasizing the departure from documentary. This project is applicable to both family and corporate portraits, primarily intended for use in interiors as very large prints. It is in this version that these photographs look most impressive: you can examine in detail even the smallest details of images, people's faces, their figures and clothes. And yet, the main difference between this series of portraits in interiors and in open spaces is the impression of unusualness that attracts the viewer's attention.
